Educational trail

This approximately 4-kilometer-long educational trail, featuring ten informational panels, traces the major milestones of the Hussite movement. The panels are equipped with QR codes that provide visitors interested in the history of Trocnov and the Hussite movement with a wealth of additional multimedia information. The trail is open year-round and free of charge with no restrictions.

The trail leads from the parking lot in front of the Visitor and Education Center past the foundations of Žižka’s farmstead, continues along a meadow to the edge of the forest, past a 13-meter-tall granite monument to the Hussite commander by Josef Malejovský from 1960, and on to the site of Žižka’s alleged birthplace, which today is marked by a simple memorial stone. The trail then leads through a peaceful forest past old ponds with natural habitats characteristic of this area. The next stop is Mikšův dvorec and the dam of Horní rybník. The nature trail ends back at the parking lot in front of the Visitor and Education Center.
